Job Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and payroll legislation.

 

Key Responsibilities
✓ Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
✓ Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
✓ Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger transactions.
✓ Prepare and process supplier payments and customer invoices.
✓ Reconcile payroll, superannuation, and employee leave balances.
✓ Assist with BAS (Business Activity Statement) preparation and lodgement support.
✓ Process journals, accruals, and end-of-month reconciliations.
✓ Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
✓ Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO requirements.
✓ Provide general bookkeeping and administrative support as required.

 

Qualifications
✓ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, or any other related field
✓ Minimum 3 years of Australian bookkeeping experience.
✓ Strong knowledge of Australian payroll and Business Activity Statements (BAS).
✓ Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
✓ Proficiency in Australian accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or MYOB.
✓ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
✓ Excellent written and verbal English communication skill.
